Who is Ru
In the last decade Ru has focused her work on C-level engagements and senior executive leadership programmes, much of it on an international and global level, in India, China, Africa, Asia and the US. She has been a member of integration teams for projects in Singapore and Norway as well as in the UK and other European countries including Germany and Italy.
Ru has conducted assessment work in the UK for a global organisation and has run Top Team workshops for General Managers based in countries such as Malaysia, Thailand, China and the US.
She specialises in supporting senior leader transitions and is currently coaching two CEO’s of global organisations . A firm believer in the principles of diversity, Ru is passionate about inclusion in the workplace and supports several related initiatives in her client organisations. These range from projects to support young people from less advantaged backgrounds to bringing leadership skills and aspirations to Angolan nationals to enable them to take more active roles in the running of their international energy companies.
Experiences & Passions
Ru Bhugra is a qualified Organisational Psychologist with over twenty years of experience working with organisations, teams and individuals. She has a first degree in Psychology and a master’s degree in Organisational Psychology. Her areas of special expertise include Change management, Leadership Development, team facilitation and coaching. She is also qualified and experienced in assessment work and is able to use a range of tools in her practice.
Ru combines experience and expertise in Organisational Psychology with an operational background in industry. She worked for a US based hardware manufacturer and subsequently co-founded a small software services company where she selected and built the technical team. She then spent a period with a consultancy of Management Psychologists before opting for independent status.
Alongside her direct client engagement work Ru also works in association with a number of business schools including IMD, Insead, London Business School and Harvard in Europe.
Her assignments cover a range of industry sectors - both corporate and professional services as well as pubic sector and not for profit including two of the UN food agencies Ru has considerable experience with senior leaders in the IT, financial services, media, retail, consumer goods and the energy sectors.
